Successful People Never Complain

Successful People Never Complain

Successful People Never Complain

One thing I notice from successful people is I very rarely see them complain.

I believe that success leaves clues, and if we watch what the successful people are doing, we can learn a lot from them.

So, as I’m working to grow my business, I’ve been doing some Googling and research on the habits of successful people.

So Today, Let’s Talk About How Go Getters Never Complain

People love to complain, don’t they!?!

Day in and day out, people find things to complain about that happened throughout their day.

It could be anything from something they saw in traffic that morning to something someone did by mistake at work.

It seems to be our default setting.  We always complain about what’s not right when there are so many wonderful things around us.

The problem with complaining is that it puts you in a bad mood and is a waste of your time and energy that would be better spent doing other, more productive things.

You’ll notice that more successful people hardly ever participate in drama or complaints about unimportant things.

This is because they have more pertinent things to worry about.

Life Will Not Always Pan Out As You Had Planned.

Problems will arise unexpectedly, and people will often do things that may agitate and aggravate you.

That’s life. And complaining about it often doesn’t change things.

Complaining about a bad driver you saw on your drive to work hours after it happened just isn’t worth your time.

Once something has happened, it’s over with.

And if you can’t change anything about it, you certainly shouldn’t spend more time than you need to talking about it.

Focus On The Things That Really Matter To You.

If you have work that needs to be done, focus on that.

If you have a problem that’s preventing you from doing what you need to do, find solutions instead of making complaints.

If you want someone else’s help, ask them for help rather than complaining to them about it.

If someone does something that gets on your nerves, or if you feel the desire to shift the blame to someone else, don’t.

It’s going to go much smoother if you fix the problem right then and have the conversation with them later in a calmer tone.

Just letting someone know what they did wrong is much better than talking behind their back about it.

You’re Better Off Without Complaining.

Not only does avoiding complaints help you communicate clearly, but it also helps you maintain a more positive mood.

If you hold on to something that annoyed you in the morning all the way into the afternoon, then during that time you’re still going to be annoyed.

Instead, learn to let things go so that you can maintain a more positive outlook, which helps reduce stress and can help prevent depression.

You need to stay focused on your goals if you want to achieve them.

You can’t let things that aren’t really relevant to you distract you all the time.

Keep looking back at your plans and stick with them.

If you’re spending your time and energy talking about things that you can’t change or things that you’re not working on, you’re wasting your own resources.

Little Action Steps To Assist You With Stop Complaining:

First you need to be aware that you’re even doing it.

You must become consciously aware of the complaints you are making first before you can start making some positive changes in your life.

So, pay attention to your thoughts and when you catch yourself complaining, ask yourself why you’re doing that.

Don’t hang around with people who are negative.

It may not be possible in all circumstances, so minimize your time with them if that is your only option.

Smile.

Smile at strangers, in the car, at the grocery store. Just Smile!

Find excitement.

What do you have planned that you are looking forward to?

Change your environment.

Pick up the clutter, even better DECLUTTER and get rid of that crap, paint your walls, change your bedspread, open the curtains and let the light in.

Go outside.

Take a walk in nature. Walk barefoot in the grass if you have grass this time of year. Smell the roses. Listen to the birds.

Or if you’re where it’s cold, maybe get out and make a snowman.

Help someone out.

Your co-worker, a stranger, your spouse, a neighbor – it can be anyone. Offer assistance. Bring them a coffee. Give a hug.

You really can give up your complaining. It just takes some practice and dedication on your part.

Walt Disney once said:

“We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”

Within this quote lies the key to eliminating all our complaints.

So, let’s make a commitment – together…

Let’s vow to pay attention to our thoughts and make a big effort to stop complaining.

We’ll be happier, and we’ll be even more successful.

I’m… are you?

And guess what…

If you can get rid of the complaining, or at least slow it down, people will notice, and they might even comment or ask you about it!

Now I’d love to hear from you.

So how about you?

Do you find yourself complaining from time to time?

What helps you stop that.
